Attis Healthcare, Formerly DxT Medical, a Meridian Waste Solutions Subsidiary, Delivers its First Internally Sourced Contract

ATLANTA, GA / ACCESSWIRE / December 4, 2017 / Meridian Waste Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRDN) ("Meridian Waste" or the "Company"), a vertically integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services and innovative technology company, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with a rural community hospital in Tennessee to manage and assist in the operation of a new and improved hospital laboratory.

Attis Healthcare (formerly DxT Medical) will manage and operate the hospital laboratory utilizing its expertise of systems and a deep bench of professionals that focus on improving patient outcomes and profitability in rural healthcare markets across the country.

Laboratory services are an integral part of patient care that impact approximately 70% of medical decisions and comprise more than 80% of a patient's medical record. In today's healthcare market, it is important for community hospitals to find new, innovative ways to improve hospital economics through partnerships and outsourcing. Attis Healthcare and its team of seasoned healthcare professionals will assist the hospital in building and developing a state-of-the-art hospital laboratory, which will allow the hospital to realize new and increased revenue streams while solidifying its role as a pillar of its Tennessee community. The partnership between Attis Healthcare and the hospital will result in a profitable, highly functioning hospital laboratory that will provide improved health care for the citizens of the hospital's community. A hospital laboratory of this size can typically process, on average, upwards of 1,000 samples per month, once it is fully functioning, leading to a potential increase in revenue in excess of $5,000,000.

"Attis Healthcare anticipates the partnership with this community hospital to be the first of many internally developed partnerships with rural hospitals as we continue to expand our healthcare division across the country," stated Jeff Cosman, CEO of Meridian. "In the past few weeks, Meridian has acquired DxT Medical and Verifi Labs to bolster its footprint in the rural healthcare market. Our new partnership in Tennessee brings our total to four hospital partnerships across the country, three of which Verifi Labs manages. With several more partnerships in discussion for the immediate future, our pipeline is robust and exciting for our sales organization. Our services and business model are more about making healthcare cost efficient for healthcare systems, communities and employers across the country; while driving successful outcomes for patients. Most importantly, the success of our partnerships will deliver the improved patient care to the hospital's community and help Attis fulfill its mission of delivering solutions to underserved communities across the nation. We have an incredible team of healthcare professionals and I look forward to their continued success as we build this company together."
